Crafting a tasty brand for a one-of-a-kind neighbor

Client: Persimmon Goods

We don’t typically brand local, craft-focused coffee and cocktail lounges. But when we do, they’re literally right down the street from us. And helmed by the kind of creative visionaries who aren’t afraid to get funky. It’s how we fuel our fire, stay connected to our city, and mix play with work.

So, when a Northern Colorado cocktail guru and hospitality legend approached us to craft the logo and visual identity for Persimmon Goods, his new coffee-and-cocktails concept in Old Town Fort Collins, we had to say yes.

The Persimmon logo and visual identity needed to match the eatery and lounge’s bold character and adventurous spirit: fun, welcoming, artsy, clever, with just a dash of camp.

Our approach for Persimmon mixed super-contemporary and classical styles. Think Saul Bass meets Rothko meets Memphis. Think anything but ordinary. The bold palette, hand-drawn illustrations, and a penchant for the unusual compliment the beautiful food and drinks of Persimmon.

Make sure to stop by next time you’re in town. Try the dates. They’re divine.
